and I can see why people don't go back.
13' Aluminum Macbook is the best machine I've ever owned. And VMWARE fusion2 does an OK job of emulating windows for the applications that I need windows for.
Reason for switching... I took my hacked Dell mini9 running OSX to my iPhone programming class and my teacher didn't appreciate it too much... he said it was a violation of the EULA and he would drop me if I didn't get a real Mac.

i got it for $999 from the apple store... i don't consider it too expensive considering it can be a mac and a pc at the same time... although i ended up buying another d420 for $250 so I could have bought 4 of those, but the d420 just doesn't have enough power to run windows and ubuntu and mac osx at the same time.
